Apprenticeship
Being an Apprentice at Yan Hair
Training is in house and run by the Yan Academy weekly whilst shop floor training experiences makes the Yan Hair apprenticeship scheme complete. Our partnership with AVEDA and their training institute near Covent Garden, London, allows us to tap into new and ever evolving hairdressing techniques.
The trainee will be constantly monitored. This will allow the educators to understand where a trainee’s strengths and weaknesses lie. This process also gives the trainee a chance to express their feelings on the training they are receiving.
You will start your hairdressing career on an Apprenticeship in Hairdressing to achieve NVQ Level 2, usually over the course of 21 to 24 months. You will cover every aspect of hairdressing including cutting and styling and fashion colouring techniques. Additionally, you will also learn about customer care, reception and retailing.

Whether just starting out as an apprentice and looking to be part of the Yan Next Generation, or have been hairdressing for a while and would like to work in a professionally run salon,
whereby ongoing training is our focus.
We aim to attract passionate individuals with an artistic eye for detail and who share our passion for delivering the ultimate salon experience.
Joining our hairdressing team will require a lot of time and dedication, but the rewards will see you develop your career and prospects whilst getting involved with the artistic team to work on our promotions, photo shoots and salon training.
